The Caribbean & Bahamas are loaded with spectacular destinations. When you’re looking at itineraries you’ll see that they are typically broken down into Eastern, Western, and Southern Caribbean ports of call. Notably, some of the longer sailings may give you a little of two of the three regions.

Since the Bahamas are located so close to Florida, sometimes a stop at Nassau or a private island for a particular cruise line may be added to the voyage. Private islands offer families, beach and water park enthusiasts a fun and memorable day filled with activities.

Cruising & All Inclusive Resorts – Popular Choices!

When creating your list of must see islands, it helps to know how they’re grouped geographically. Of course, the cruise lines typically route their ships based upon regions. Occasionally there is overlap from one region to another. Remember that there’s no right or wrong way to select your destinations. While some people prefer to book based upon the ship and its amenities, others prefer to plan based upon the ship’s itinerary. During our many years of travel we have selected voyages both by port and by ship, and have been delighted regardless.

On the other hand, there are also all inclusive resorts located in the Caribbean and Bahamas. If you prefer to arrive to one destination and stay there for your entire vacation, then an all inclusive resort might be perfect for you. Moreover these resorts offer excellent amenities, wonderful attentive staff and delicious food. They will pamper you and spoil you rotten, making it difficult not to book again before your vacation ends. Some of these resorts are adult only, no children allowed while others are family oriented.
