Oasis Of The Seas

The Oasis of the Seas was the first in her class, and she took the cruising industry by storm, elevating the game for everyone else. If you are considering booking a cruise on this ship, or any other ship in this class there are some pros and cons and I’ll go over them here briefly. On the up side, you will never run out of things to do and to see. There are some wonderful dining options due to her size, and some top entertainment. One week just doesn’t seem enough time to do it all.

The down sides are easy to see. Due to her size, the walking is significant. Even if your cabin is mid-ship the walking could be a factor for those with mobility issues who are not in wheelchairs. Ocean views can only be had from either an outside balcony stateroom or up on the pool deck. Unlike some of the smaller ships, the interior ocean views are absent. We understand that she’s coming to New Jersey and if the intention is to sail her in to the Caribbean on eleven night vacations, we think it will be a wonderful choice!

So many things are appealing about this class of ship. A quiet evening stroll in Central Park with a drink, perhaps listening to music is wonderful. All of the plants are meticulously cared for and well maintained. If you enjoy horticulture, you can read about each plant on the placard located next to it. Since Central park is open and the sky is above you, the stars are there to be seen at night, and should it rain umbrella stands are located at either end of the walk. The Boardwalk is also open to the weather, it’s bright carousel cheerfully spinning, filled with happy vacationers.
